A twisted band is a unique type of band for a ring that involves a single band or multiple bands that have been curved and twisted to weave together. The resulting ring band has a unique look. Twisted metal is a particularly common approach to organic jewelry, both for the methods used to twist it and because of the way in which it conveys a more natural, woven look than that of traditional styles. It may also be seen in woven jewelry or the knot. Because of the number of different styles and approaches to the twisting of the metal, it can be seen in various applications both antique and modern.
