Luxury
lux·u·ry | ˈlək-sh(ə-)rē
adjective
An extravagant jewelry piece
Luxury is a subjective term used to describe jewelry of the highest level of quality. These pieces are considered more extravagant because of their use of highly sought-after precious metals and gemstones, often of a much higher grade than other, lower-quality pieces. They might be defined by the cut of the stone, the overall rating of that stone, or the craftsmanship that goes into both the cutting of the stone and the creation of the jewelry piece itself. As such, the price point for a piece of jewelry considered luxurious is traditionally higher than one that is not. Price does not fully define luxury jewelry, but it is frequently the case that they are more expensive.
