Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a round, one carat diamond is held aloft in a six-prong setting made of 14k white gold. The prongs are evenly spaced around the stone, and one sits at each the north and south positions, while the two on either side seem to straddle the band.
The clean lines of the prongs as they rise up from a common point on the inner margin of the band below brings a dramatic elegance to the ring, and it helps intensify the appearance of the center setting’s height. The use of six prongs in this piece provides structural stability while also giving the center stone a vaguely star-like appearance. Diamond Engagement Rings
Band Design and Customization Options
The band is narrow and straight all the way around, with a slightly domed top surface that’s polished to a high shine. Just as it meets the bottom of the center setting, the band is pinched in slightly, a minor detail that adds dramatically to the impressive presentation of the diamond.
Customizing this ring may involve switching to a rose or yellow gold to add some contrast to the design, or it could mean changing the shape of the center stone to an oval or cushion cut. If you like the two-tone look, you could keep white gold for the center setting while using yellow gold for the band, or you could change the type of stone used. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
