Oval Blue Sapphire
The center stone of this ring is a brilliant blue sapphire, cut in an oval pattern and held in place by a 4-prong setting. This gemstone has a rich color, and it has come to symbolize loyalty, which makes it a great choice as a representation of your love. These qualities also make it a fitting substitute for the more traditional diamond as the centerpiece of your engagement ring.
While this ring was designed with the blue sapphire in mind, sapphires actually come in a variety of colors. That means you are free to select a different color for your ring, which can help you create a piece that best represents the unique characteristics of your relationship. Sapphires naturally occur in many colors including green, orange, yellow, and purple.
Channel-set Diamonds
Running down from the center sapphire along each side of the shank, this ring features a row of channel-set diamonds. These are placed in descending order of size as they move away from the main stone, and their size and configuration combine to create a more glamorous overall appearance. This design also combines elements of two popular engagement ring styles, with the single center stone flanked by the channel-set collection.
Shank Design and Options
The square euroshank this ring incorporates gives it more stability on your finger, and it helps to compensate for the inclusion of multiple heavy gemstones into the design. However, if you don’t like the look or feel of this thicker, more angular shank, we can easily modify the design to incorporate the more familiar rounded design.
This ring is also available in several different metals including 14 Kt gold, 18 Kt gold, platinum, or palladium.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
