Diamond Depth

Bigger round and princess cut gemstones are not only wider on your finger- they're taller/deeper as well! The deeper the stone is, the higher it will sit on your finger. If you want a truly low-profile ring, you may not want to get a big center stone. We suggest investing in a higher quality, smaller gemstone for it to sit low on your finger. 

Cathedral Setting

Adding a cathedral to your ring may make your center stone feel more secure because it adds supports on each side. 

Shank Style

A split shank will also add more support to your ring.

Diamond Shape

Elongated gemstone shapes could make a difference in the height of your ring. In most cases, oval diamonds and pear diamonds are shallower than their round or princess cut counterparts. If you let us know you're looking for a lower profile, we can source diamonds that are shallower.

Setting Style

A bezel setting is when metal surrounds the entire outer rim of the gemstone. It is a very secure setting style because it protects the gemstone from all angles and there are no prongs to catch on anything. However, traditional four prong and six prong settings are also very secure. We recommend choosing the setting style that you like best!
