Pendant Description

This stunning pendant features oval pink sapphires arrayed around a small diamond at the center, with additional diamond accents on the edges. It was created for a client from Redmond, WA to go with a set of custom earrings we also made for them and that also feature the pink sapphire and diamond combination. Design Your Own Jewelry

Sapphires and Diamonds

The five pink sapphires in this piece are all oval and shared prong set in 18k yellow gold. They’re oriented to radiate out from the center like flower petals, and their rich pink color only enhances this floral effect. All together, the sapphires total 1.69 carats, and they contrast nicely with the warmth of the yellow gold they’re set in.

There are also six small round diamonds, which are shared prong set as well, interspersed among the sapphires. One of these forms the center of the flower, with all of the sapphires extending out from it, and the rest are positioned between the far ends of the larger stones to add contrast and balance to the design.

Customization Options

Sapphires are available in many different colors, which gives you a good starting point if you’re interested in customizing this piece. You might also experiment with switching the placement of the sapphires and diamonds, or you may want to use white gold instead of yellow for a more contemporary look.
