Pave Set Alexandrites

The 14 alexandrites in this piece are all round and pave set in the white gold leaf shape of the pendant. This creates an area of dense color and beautiful sparkle that complements perfectly the organic design of the piece. Alexandrites are a relatively recent discovery, and they’re quite rare. Possibly their most notable feature is their ability to change color, which allows them to appear green in natural light and red under incandescent lighting.

Diamond Accents

A line of pave set diamonds begins in the middle of the alexandrites and extends up, widening as it goes, to transition into the bale. This forms the stem of the leaf, continuing with the organic themes while also integrating necessary hardware into the design.

The diamonds taper as they move down into the leaf, with the largest at the top of the bale and the smallest close to the edge of the leaf. Once the space becomes too small for diamonds, decorative beading continues the effect. The line of diamonds follows a gentle curve as well, and this gives it a look more like a natural leaf, while the sparkle of the diamonds contrasts beautifully with the delicate glimmer of the alexandrites.
