This stunning women’s fashion ring features an oval blue topaz in a filigree setting, all of which is accented by diamonds and milgrain atop a tapered white gold band. Blue Topaz Center and Diamond Accents

The centerpiece of this ring is an 8.61 carat oval blue topaz that’s positioned to lie lengthwise across the 14k white gold band. This puts it in line with the finger when worn, and it’s accented by five round diamonds that are bezel set within the ornate filigree that wraps around the top of the topaz.

This arrangement places the diamond accents directly on top of the larger stone, allowing their brilliant white sparkle to make an impact despite their relatively small size. All five diamonds combine to total 0.04 carats, but they’re just the right size to provide the perfect counterpoint to the larger blue stone. Fashion Rings

Filigree and Milgrain

The filigree setting holding the topaz is in a floral style, and it extends from the main design to wrap around the stone at the compass positions. The curving lines of the flower petals that cover the top of the topaz add elegant and unique detailing while still allowing the beauty of the stone to shine through.

Lines of milgrain beading provide greater detail to help highlight the filigree design, and this milgrain extends down onto the filigree on the shank shoulders as well. Below this filigree, the band is solid and with a slight knife edge. It tapers gradually moving down each side, eventually reaching its narrowest point across the bottom of the ring.
