Baguette Amethysts and Diamond Halo

There are two baguette green amethysts in this ring, and they combine to total 0.83 carats. Both are bezel set in 14k yellow gold sitting lengthwise inline with the band. The bezel settings are open on one side, with double rows of milgrain beading lining the other three.

The two amethysts sit at opposite ends of the band, and they line up perfectly with the open sides of their settings facing each other. This creates the look of one larger center setting, but leaves just enough space between the two stones to allow the uniqueness of the arrangement to show through. Fashion Rings

The three sides of the bezel setting that are lined with milgrain beading are also encircled by partial halos of split prong set diamonds. These line up with each other as well, giving the impression of one continuous halo surrounding the entire center setting.

Band Design

The band is narrow and delicate, and it twists ever so slightly so that the two ends are only just mis-aligned at the top. This allows one end of the band to hold one side of the center setting, while the other end holds the other, the combination of which creates this unique and contemporary style.

The rectangular shape of the center setting, as a whole and in terms of the individual pieces, introduces a hint of art deco flair to the design. The warmth of the yellow gold helps to enhance the glow of the amethysts, but if you’d like to introduce some more pronounced contrast to the design, this piece is also available in rose or white gold.
