Fashion Ring Description

This dazzling women’s fashion ring features a large round amethyst prong set in the center of a shared prong set diamond halo, with amethyst accents running around the sides of the halo and split prong set diamonds lining the split white gold shank below. It was created for a client from Sammamish, WA, who provided the center stone and asked us to build the perfect setting to display it. Design Your Own Ring


Amethyst Center and Diamond Halo

Dominating this piece is a 13.62 carat round vortex cut amethyst with a rich purple color. It’s cradled in a four prong setting made of 14k white gold, and it’s surrounded by a halo of shared prong set white diamonds. The halo runs along the outside of the prongs holding the amethyst, perfectly following the contours of the larger stone. From its position tucked just below the level of the girdle, the halo sends extra light up onto the center, helping to increase its brilliance.

The vortex cut of the amethyst adds a swirling dimension to it when it’s viewed straight on from the top. This gives the design a dynamic quality, and that is only enhanced by the perfect ring of diamonds surrounding the center. Fashion Rings

Amethyst and Diamond Accents

The side of the halo is lined with shared prong set small round amethysts all the way around, and these echo the color of the center while adding their own glamorous touch as well. They are just visible when the ring is viewed from directly over the top, and they provide a nice counterpoint to the brilliant sparkle of the diamonds in the halo above.

Round diamonds are split prong set running down both strands of the split shank and continuing down to the mid-point of the band on each side even after the strands come together. A larger diamond sits right at the spot where the strands meet, with three more diamonds following below it on each side.
