Center Diamond with Filigree and Milgrain

The main gemstone in this design is a 1.00 ctw round diamond, held in place by four prongs which are set at compass points. This little detail of the prongs’ orientation gives extra charm to the design.
The center diamond is elevated on a gallery ornamented by filigree, diamond melees and milgrain. The whole esthetic of this ring is vintage inspired. The elements incorporated in it hold the elegance and charm of the old.

The filigree in this piece, create an openwork design and allow for more light to seep into the empty space under the center stone. The curves and turns of the metal work are accentuated by metal beads. Those are referred to as milgrain. They also complement the presence of diamond melees and the vintage look to be achieved. The shank shoulders are adorned by diamond melees and milgrain. Half-way down the shank, the 14k white gold band has a polished finish.
