Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features an Asscher cut diamond prong set atop a multi-band white gold split shank, which is also lined with french cut set accent diamonds. It was created for a client from Edmonds, WA, who worked with our team onsite in our Bellevue showroom to finalize the details of his design. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Asscher Cut Diamond

The diamond that sits atop this ring is a 0.92 carat Asscher cut. It’s framed beautifully by the four white gold prongs that curve up over its truncated corners, and it features an elegant pattern of concentric squares that can be seen clearly when the stone is viewed straight on from the top.

This pattern is the hallmark of the Asscher cut, which resembles a square emerald cut in many ways. The main difference between the Asscher cut and the emerald cut is that the step facets in the Asscher are larger, leading to a smaller, higher table and an overall greater brilliance. Multi-Band Shank

The shank of this ring seems to be made up of two bands, each of which split into two strands about half-way up. These all originate at a small strip of metal at the bottom of the ring, and they also cross over each other in several other spots as well.

The inner ring in this design starts on one side of the bottom band, and after splitting, comes back together on the far corner of the base. The outer ring follows the same pattern, starting on one side of the bottom and rejoining again at the diagonally opposite point. In between, the inner band holds the foundation of the center setting, while the strands of the outer band run along either side of the main diamond part-way up the sides.

Diamond Accents

Rows of French cut set diamond accents line all four strands of the band, adding a lovely sparkle to the design while also introducing some classical flair. These accent diamonds begin and end just after the split in both bands, and they help highlight the lovely intertwining movement of the shank design. Custom Engagement Rings
