Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features an emerald cut diamond in the center of a three-stone setting that also includes two round sapphires. It was created for a client from Media, PA, who reached out to us online to get the custom design process underway. He shared some inspiration pieces with us, as well as his thoughts on what type of center and side stones he wanted.

Using this information, we developed a unique design for him that he liked very much. After a few minor revisions, he approved his piece for production so that we could meet his desired deadline.

Three-stone Setting

The largest stone in this ring is a 0.76 carat emerald cut diamond, and the open, four-prong setting holding it in place really lets its natural beauty shine through. The round sapphires on either side of the center add contrast in both color and shape, and this brings a new dimension to the piece. Diamond Engagement Rings

Both sapphires and diamonds are popular choices for engagement rings, as their extreme hardness helps them stand up well to the rigors of everyday wear. Sapphires also come in many different shades, including the wonderful blue seen here, allowing you to include a favorite color in your design.

Diamond and Custom Metalwork Accents

Bright cut set diamonds run down the shoulders of the shank, adding extra sparkle to the ring, while also introducing some classical flair. These stop at the half-way point, and custom hand engraving continues down to the three-quarter mark. This engraving also covers both fronts of the shank, and it’s lined with milgrain beading, as are the diamonds.

As a finishing touch, a beautiful heart-shaped filigree turns the spaces between the prongs of the main setting into a truly special sentiment. Small leaf filigrees fill the corresponding spaces on the fronts of the side stones, and this ties in nicely with the pattern of hand engraving to give the ring a sense of completion and continuity.
