Engagement Ring Description

This lovely engagement ring features a twist on the classic solitaire design, using a wrapped shank with a criss-cross pattern to display the beautiful center stone. It was created as a custom design for our client, who saw a similar ring in our showcase. She wanted to customize the design slightly to make it her own through the addition of melee diamonds accent stones.

Throughout the design processes, we incorporated all of her feedback and offered advice to help her create this truly stunning piece. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Solitaire and Accent Diamonds

The diamond at the center of this ring is a 1.26 carat round brilliant cut, and it’s secured in a wrapped setting that flows naturally from the criss-cross design on the shoulders of the shank. The wrapped edges reaching around the stone are reminiscent of a bezel setting, and they frame it nicely. Diamond Engagement Rings

There are also six smaller diamonds included in this design. These are split prong set, three on each side of the center setting, and they enhance the sparkle of the center stone nicely, while also adding a bit of glamour to the piece.

The criss-cross shank design in this ring is becoming an increasingly popular choice for engagement rings due to the stylish and modern look it creates. It gives the ring a more organic feel, and it allows you to use the traditional solitaire diamond but also add a unique twist.

The ring itself is made of platinum, the best choice for this type of design because of its superior strength. This property allows it to hold the large center stone securely while still executing the delicate twists and turns of the rest of the design. Platinum also has a lovely silver color that complements the brilliance of diamonds nicely, and the polished finish on this piece only serves to intensify that effect.
