Engagement Ring Description

This beautiful engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in the center of a halo of French cut set diamonds, with additional split prong set diamond accents on the two-tone shank below. It was created for a client from Oregon, who already had the center stone he wanted to use but hoped we could design the perfect setting to go with it. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

To begin the custom design process, the client visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person. On that trip, he found an inspiration piece that he wanted to customize, and our team finalized the details of his project online. He did come back into the showroom to drop off his center diamond when the time came, and he was very happy with the finished piece we produced.

Center Diamond and Halo

The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.70 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s cradled in a four prong setting made of 14k white gold, and these prongs rise directly up from the white gold basket below. Surrounding the center diamond is a perfectly circular halo of French cut set diamonds, and these are set in 14k rose gold, producing a lovely and elegant contrast with the brilliant white of the large stone in the center. Band Design and Diamond Accents

With the exception of the basket beneath the center setting, the entire band is made of rose gold, and split prong set diamond accents run down the shank shoulders. These stop at the mid-point on each side, and smaller round diamonds are also split prong set on the basket below the center setting, running across the base and up each prong until it reaches the underside of the halo. The subtle two-tone look of this piece was one of the main elements that attracted the client to it, and it adds a nice bit of contrast without overpowering the design. It also helps to highlight the brilliant sparkle of the center diamond, as the white gold holding it nearly blends in, while the rose gold in the rest of the piece provides a warm counterpoint to the diamond’s dazzling sparkle.
