Engagement Ring Description

This exquisite engagement ring features a round diamond in a partial bezel setting at the top, accented by bright cut set round diamonds, filigree, milgrain beading, and custom hand engraving on the two-tone split shank below. It was created for a client fro Bellevue, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to begin the custom design process. Our team worked closely with him to finalize the details of the piece through revisions to our digital models, and only once he was completely satisfied did we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production. Center Setting

At the top of this ring, a 0.50 carat round diamond is held in a partial bezel setting made of 18k white gold. The setting is interrupted at four points equally distributed around the stone, and these are also inline with the middle of each side of the square that makes up the surface immediately surrounding the main setting. This gives the top of the ring on the whole a square shape, adding a layer of contrast with the perfectly round stone in the center. Diamond Engagement Rings

Two-tone Band and Diamond Accents

Running down from the top square on either side are two strands of the split shank, and these are lined with round bright cut set diamonds. The diamonds highlight the V shape on each shank shoulder as the two strands come together, and the milgrain beading lining them continues uninterrupted onto the yellow gold portion of the band below. The contrast between the yellow and white gold sections of the ring brings a striking two-tone style to the piece, and the client had a clear idea about how far down he wanted the white gold to go.

Filigree, Milgrain and Hand Engraving

The yellow gold portion of the band directly below the diamond accents is made up of ornate filigree lined with milgrain that adds to the delicacy and openness of the design. This filigree stops at about the three-quarter point on each side of the ring, beyond which the band is rounded and polished. Wheat-style hand engraving sits on the fronts of the ring below the diamond accents, adding to the overall vintage aesthetic of the design.
