Engagement Ring Description

This beautiful engagement ring features an emerald cut diamond at the center of a three stone setting that also includes two princess cut blue sapphires. It originated as a custom order for a client from Seattle, WA, who came into our showroom initially to get the design process underway, and then collaborated with our staff online to iron out the details of his piece.

Center Diamond

The diamond at the top of this ring is a 1.28 carat emerald cut stone, and its brilliance shines through from every angle thanks to the openness of the four prong setting holding it in place. These prongs rise up smoothly from the cathedral shank, and the way they cradle the diamond really helps to accentuate its shape. Diamond Engagement Rings

Sapphire Accents

Princess cut blue sapphires sit on either side of the center diamond, and their squared shape works well in the overall flow of the piece. This was one of the details the client asked to change after seeing our initial mock-ups, as the first design we created for him hand round sapphires instead.

The use of Sapphires makes it possible for you to introduce a favorite color into the design, and that’s something that can really add personal significance to the piece. Sapphires are also quite hard, making them a good option for something like an engagement ring that you plan to wear on an everyday basis.

Custom Metalwork

This ring also includes some lovely custom engraving on the fronts of the shank. Our skilled artisans completed this by hand under a bench microscope as the last step in the production process, and this is what makes possible the level of detail you see here. It also means we can reproduce just about any design or pattern you’d like to see, which is another good way to add a unique touch to such a special ring.
