Engagement Ring Description

This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in platinum atop a unique criss-cross shank, with diamond pave accents on the band. It was created as part of a custom wedding set to go with women’s wedding ring #101979 and men’s wedding band #101983 for a client from Goodyear, AZ, who collaborated with our team online and over the phone to finalize the details of all three spectacular pieces. Center Diamond

The round brilliant cut diamond at the center of this ring is 1.60 carats, and it’s prong set in platinum. The setting arises from several strands of the split criss-cross shank, and these loop down around the sides to give a clear view of the diamond from all sides.

The way the prongs join the center stone only on the edges helps highlight the perfection of the diamond’s cut, and the shape of the setting also raises the diamond to prominence while still keeping it well-protected from damage.

Intertwined Shank and Diamond Accents

The solid piece of metal at the bottom of the ring quickly splits into two at about the three-quarter point on each side. From there, these bands move out and then back across each other, only to widen again as they move up to form part of the prongs holding the main diamond in place.Diamond Engagement Rings

At this second split in the criss-cross pattern, two smaller strands move up from inside, twisting to intertwine with the prongs as well.
