Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features a radiant cut diamond, prong set in white gold and surrounded by a diamond halo, with additional diamond accents on the hand-engraved band. It was created for a client from Stanwood, WA, who reached out to us online to get the custom design process started. He had found a piece on our site that he liked, and we worked with him to customize so it matched his specifications.

Radiant Cut Center

The center diamond in this ring is a 0.52 carat radiant cut stone with a dazzling fire. We showed the client examples of both radiant and emerald cut diamonds, as both would work well in this type of design, and he decided he liked the look of the radiant cut better.

Diamond Halo and Accents

The halo of round bright cut set diamonds surrounding the center stone follows the contours of the larger diamond, creating a rectangular frame with slightly rounded corners. This helps to emphasize the lovely lines of the main stone, and the many small diamonds reflect light back up onto the center, which also helps to increase its brilliance.

Additional round diamonds are channel set in the shank shoulders, and these gradually decrease in size as they move away from the center to follow the contours of the tapered shank. The sparkle these accent stones add gives the piece a truly glamorous look, and it also helps to unite both parts of the ring. The use of a channel setting for them also brings some contemporary flair to an otherwise classic design.

Milgrain and Hand Engraving

All of the accent stones in this ring are lined with milgrain beading, as are the zig-zag bars that form the basket below the main setting. Custom hand engraving in a delicate wheat pattern covers the fronts of the shank down to the three-quarter point, and a complementary pattern runs down the top of the band from the spot where the diamonds end to close to the bottom.
