Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond at the top, with a trillion cut diamond on either side, and bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain running down the wrapped shank shoulders. It was created for a couple from Lacey, WA, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to get the custom design process underway. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

They were initially looking for a wedding set that included an interlocking wedding band, but after reviewing some of our initial models, they decided they liked the idea of just one ring that included elements that made it look like two. We revised our digital models until the clients were happy with every detail, and only then did we move things into production.

Three-stone Setting

At the top of this ring, a round brilliant cut diamond is prong-set in 14k yellow gold. The setting holds the larger diamond up above two trillion diamonds, which are each held in a three-prong setting, with one on either side of the center. The diamonds echo the stunning white sparkle of the large diamond above, and they provide a smooth transition to the wrapped design of the band below. Three Stone Engagement Rings

Band Design

The band itself is made up of two strands that run next to each other most of the way around the ring. There is never space between the strands, but the narrow groove that shows their separation is an essential part of the design, as it creates the impression of two separate rings. The precise alignment and path that these bands take, particularly once they reach the top and move to integrate into the center setting, were details that the clients spent a good deal of time working out with our team in an effort to achieve the precise look they were after. Diamond and Milgrain Accents

One of the strands that makes up the band rises up slightly to wrap around the side of the center setting. This happens on both sides of the band, and the effect is a dynamic twisting movement that almost creates a halo around the center thanks to the inclusion of small round bright cut set diamonds running down both of the wrapped strands. These diamonds are lined with milgrain beading for some extra vintage flair.
