Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features an oval diamond talon prong set in rose gold, with split prong set diamond accents on the narrow band below. It was created for a couple from Seattle, WA, who stopped by our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to view some sample pieces and discuss their ideas with our team. Once we knew what they had in mind, we developed a design for both this ring and a matching wedding band in CAD. Oval Diamond Center

The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.38 carat oval diamond, and it’s held in place by four talon prongs made of 14k rose gold. These curl around the diamond gently, and the points they end in subtly contrast with the sweeping curves of the large stone, producing a dynamic and elegant effect. The prongs all originate at a single point below the center diamond, angling outward and up to cradle the stone. A support bar runs around the lower portion of the diamond as well, providing structural stability along with a satisfying balance for the center setting. Diamond Engagement Rings

Diamond Accents and Customization Options

Split prong set diamonds run down both shank shoulders, ending just past the mid-point on each side. There are 22 of these diamonds all together, combining to total 0.17 carats, and they bring a hint of glamorous flair to the design while also reinforcing the classical overtones already present.

If you’re interested in customizing this design, you have plenty of options. For instance, you could change the size, shape, or type of stone in the center depending on your personal preference. A princess cut in that position would evoke a more contemporary theme on one hand, while a marquise center would take the design in a more vintage direction. Rose Gold Engagement Rings

Using a different type of setting for the accent stones on the band is a good way to subtly adjust the style of the ring. For example, using bright cut set accents lined with milgrain beading would push things more toward the vintage aesthetic, while channel set round or princess cut diamonds would bring a decidedly contemporary feel to the piece.
