Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set at the center of a cluster halo of smaller round diamonds, all atop a yellow gold shank. It was created for a client from Mercer Island, WA, who initially visited our Bellevue, WA showroom to view some example pieces and discuss the type of design she had in mind.

After learning as much as we could about her feature and style preferences, we created a 3D model of the ring we proposed to build. She asked to see a few different versions before making her final decision, at which point we turned her project over to our skilled artisans to begin the production process. Center Diamond and Cluster Halo

The main diamond in this ring is a 0.92 carat round brilliant cut stone, and it’s set in 18k yellow gold. The eight prongs holding it in place are evenly spaced around the stone, and they provide a lovely burst of contrast with its sparkling white appearance.

A ring of eight smaller diamonds surrounds the center stone, and these are cluster set, helping to give the entire center setting a hint of a floral theme. The diamonds in the halo total 1.13 carats all together, and they mirror the shape of the center stone perfectly, helping to give the piece a nice overall balance.

Shank Design

The initial model we presented to the client had pave set accent diamonds running down the shank shoulders to the mid-point on the band. She wasn’t sure this was the way she wanted to go, however, and so she asked to see two more versions of the ring before making her final decision.

One of these had a single row of bright cut set diamonds in place of the pave set, and the third option is the one seen here with no accents at all on the band. This is what she ultimately decided to go with, and it’s a classically elegant design with timeless beauty. Custom Engagement Rings
