Engagement Ring Description

This elegant engagement ring features a cushion cut blue sapphire surrounded by a halo of diamonds, with diamond and milgrain accents on the shank as well. It was created as a custom design for a client, who worked closely with our team, both in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom, and online to make sure every detail of the piece was just as he wanted it to be.

Sapphire Center

While diamonds are the gems most people think of first when they think of engagement rings, sapphires are often used in that role as well. They are associated with love, purity, faithfulness, and reliability, and they add wonderful color to any piece.
Sapphire Engagement Rings

The stone in the center of this ring is a cushion cut blue sapphire with a deep, rich color. It contrasts wonderfully with the sparkling white of the platinum that makes up the rest of the ring, and the setting frames it perfectly, helping it to really stand out.

Diamond Halo

Surrounding the center sapphire is a ring of round bright cut set diamonds arranged in a squared halo that mirrors the contours of the larger stone. It also creates a nice contrast in colors, as the brilliant white of the diamonds helps emphasize the richness of the sapphire’s blue.

The halo is a popular choice for engagement rings these days, and it contributes to the overall classical feel of this piece. The diamonds in the halo are lined with milgrain as well, which ties in nicely with the milgrain framing the accent diamonds that run down the shoulders of the shank.
