Engagement Ring Description

This dazzling engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond atop a platinum band, with yellow sapphire, diamond, filigree, and custom hand-engraved accents. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to look at some sample pieces and figure out what type of ring he wanted for his fiancee-to-be.

After picking out a few favorites, he selected the elements from each that he wanted to combine in his ring. We used the online workroom we set up for the project to communicate with him about what exact combinations he liked best, and once he was sure, we moved into the CAD phase of the project. Center Setting

At the center of this ring is a 1.37 carat round brilliant cut diamond that the client provided, and it’s held securely by six platinum prongs. It had been in his family for a long time, as it was originally part of a set of earrings. His mother had the diamond from the other earring in her engagement ring, and using this matching stone helped bring a wonderful personal link to such an already significant ring.

Diamond, Yellow Sapphire and Filigree Accents

This vintage-inspired design features several bands of diamonds looping across the shank shoulders and coming together at the center of the ring front on each side. These diamonds are all round and bright cut set, and they’re lined with milgrain beading, which helps intensify the antique flair already present. Vintage Engagement Rings

Several yellow sapphire accents are worked into the band as well. Four of these are tucked in the center of elegant filigree flowers, with one on each shank shoulder between the first and second loops of diamonds, and one on each ring front. Two more yellow sapphires are bezel set between the second and third diamond loops on each side, adding a subtle contrast to the design and enhancing the organic themes of the design.

The client had originally requested a two-tone band, with the sapphires set in yellow gold. But after seeing some renderings of what that would look like, he decided to set the sapphires in platinum to keep them from overpowering the other design elements. Custom Engagement Rings
