Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a round yellow diamond, which is tension set at the top of a wrapped rose gold shank, and accented with round bright cut set white diamonds. It was created as part of a custom wedding set for a client from Ames, IA, and we made a custom wedding band at the same time to go along with it.

The client initially came to us with some sample images of rings that he liked, and he worked back and forth with our design team to adjust our sketches and models until they were exactly in line with his vision. Although he never visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, the technological tools we utilize and the structure of our custom design process ensured that he came away with a beautiful wedding set that perfectly reflected his vision in every way. Center Diamond

At the center of this ring is a 0.72 carat round yellow diamond, and it’s tension set between the ends of the wrapped rose gold shank. The ends of the shank wrap smoothly around the stone, highlighting its perfect shape and providing a nice contrast between the glowing yellow of the diamond and the warm tones of the metal. The sides of the setting are open as well, and this ensures that plenty of light can reach the diamond, which only helps to increase its brilliance.

Diamond Accents and Band Design

Small round white diamonds are bright cut set along the shank shoulders in two parallel rows, and these extend all the way down to the mid-point on the band. Their placement helps to highlight the elegant twisting movement of the shank as it reaches up to form the center setting, and the diamonds gradually increase in size as the band thickens at the top as well. Matching Wedding Sets

The companion wedding band we also made for this client was contoured to sit flush up against the engagement ring, and it features round bright cut set diamonds that run from the middle of the band on one side to the same spot on the other. This shared feature helps unite the set, and we were able to ensure perfect matching of metal tone, gemstones, and placement due to the fact that we made both rings at the same time.
