Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features an oval aquamarine set in the center of a three-stone setting, with emerald cut diamonds on each side and channel set baguette accents running down the sides of the platinum band. It was created for a client from Big Sky, MT, who came to us with some ideas about the design she wanted, as well as the center aquamarine.

She initially visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to discuss her ideas and deliver her center stone. We took all the information she gave us and used it to create highly-detailed CAD representations of the piece we proposed to make, which we then shared with her through the online workroom we set up for her project. The only modification she requested was to increase the size of the emerald cut diamonds on the sides of the center, and we then sent her wax models of each version so that she could compare them before making her final decision. Three-stone Setting

The centerpiece of this ring is a 2.74 carat oval aquamarine that the client provided. It’s prong set in platinum, and it contrasts beautifully with both the brilliant white of the metal and the dazzling sparkle of the diamonds on either side. Three Stone Engagement Rings

These diamonds are both emerald cut, and they’re 1.71 carats each. They're prong set as well, and they’re set just slightly below the center aquamarine and angled slightly downward to follow the curve of the band. Our original renderings had one carat diamonds in these positions, but the client loved the look of the larger stones so much she decided to go with these proportions. Accent Diamonds and Band Design

The band is flat and wide all the way around, although it’s still decidedly narrower than the emerald cut diamonds in the center setting. This gives the piece a nice balance while still displaying the gorgeous stones at the top nicely, and the band does taper slightly at the very bottom for a more comfortable fit.

To complete the look, the shank shoulders are channel set with baguette diamonds running all the way down to the three-quarter point, and these add glamorous flair while also echoing the clean lines of the emerald side stones in the main setting.
