Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a round blue-green sapphire prong set in the center of a bright cut set diamond halo, with additional diamond accents on the split rose gold shank. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who found a ring that he loved and wanted us to customize it for him.

After finding the perfect stone to build his ring around, we shared CAD images of the ring with him online, and he also visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to view wax models of a couple of different versions before choosing the one to send into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Center Sapphire

The centerpiece of this ring is a stunning round sapphire with a striking blue-green color that’s prong set in 14k rose gold. It’s 1.86 carats, and it was cut by an award-winning gemstone cutter from Canada who we frequently work with. The client wanted to make sure the stone we used was the perfect shade of blue-green, and after an extensive search, we found one that matched his vision exactly. Sapphire Engagement Rings

Diamond Halo and Accents

Surrounding the center sapphire is a halo of round bright cut set diamonds, which helps intensify the beauty of the center stone by sending additional light up onto it. The diamonds’ brilliant white sparkle also provides a wonderful contrast with the rich blue-green of the sapphire, and they tie in nicely with the bright cut set diamonds running down the shoulders of the split shank. These accents continue past the mid-point on the band, providing an elegant and glamorous touch with a hint of vintage flair.

Band Design

The band itself is made entirely of 14k rose gold, which brings a warmth and additional contrast to the design. It’s narrow and flat at the bottom, and it maintains its width once the diamond accents start to climb up beyond the mid-point. Soon after passing this spot, however, the band begins to widen, eventually splitting into two strands that continue to move away from each other as they rise up to meet the underside of the halo.
