Engagement Ring Description

This exquisite engagement ring features an ideal square cut diamond, flanked by two trapezoid shaped diamonds, and accented with pave set diamonds running down the split shank. The design was developed for a client from Kfarhbeb, Lebanon, who posted some images of rings that he liked and asked us to use elements from them to create a one-of-a-kind piece for his bride.

We worked with him primarily online, as he was in a different part of the world. And thanks to our high-tech imaging tools, as well as our wonderful design and production team, we were able to create a piece just to his liking even though he couldn't visit our Bellevue, WA showroom in person.

Ideal Square Diamond

The central diamond in this ring is a 1.29 carat Ideal Square cut, which means it demonstrates better light reflection than most conventionally cut stones to produce unparalleled sparkle. The highly specialized cut can take up to three times as long to complete as a standard square cut, but it results in dramatically increased brilliance. This cut also creates the distinctive hearts and arrows pattern within the stone, which is what leads to its wonderful sparkle due to the fact that it can reflect nearly all of the light it takes in back out again.

Less than one percent of diamonds can be certified Ideal, so choosing one for your ring is an excellent way to make sure you are getting the very best. The diamond in this ring is framed beautifully by the four platinum prongs of the setting, and its squared shape provides the perfect counterpoint to the intertwined strands that rise up from below to form the center setting. Diamond Accents

On each side of the center diamond are trapezoid shaped diamonds, which bridge the gap between the two sides of the split shank. These pieces are also pave set with accent diamonds starting at the half-way point of the band and continuing up to the top for a truly glamorous look.

Split Shank

The shank splits at the same spot that the diamonds start, and the two pieces gradually move apart as they make their way up towards the center setting. Below this point, the band is covered with a lovely hand engraving, and a beautiful swirl filigree fills the space below the main diamond.
