Engagement Ring Description

This exquisite engagement ring features an oval diamond tension set in a twisted palladium shank, with purple sapphire accents. The design was developed for a client from Emeryville, CA, who found our original piece #101231 online and wanted to customize it to make it better reflect her personal style.

Although she couldn’t visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, we coordinated with her extensively online and over the phone to ensure that every detail of the piece was just the way she wanted it. We were able to do this thanks to the wonderful technology we have at our disposal, including the software that lest us create highly-detailed CAD images of every custom design we make. Center Setting

The diamond in the center of this ring is a 0.94 carat oval cut diamond, and it’s tension set between the two wrapped ends of the band. The shape of these ends is one detail the client altered slightly from the inspiration piece, changing them from sharp, angular edges to the more rounded wrap seen here. This works well with the shape of the stone she chose, which is also more rounded, and the combination gives the ring a gentler overall feel.

Twisted Shank and Accent Stones

The shank itself is made of palladium, and it starts at the bottom as one solid piece. At about the three quarter point, it begins to split, and the two strands that emerge move outward a bit before coming back to cross over each other. This pattern is repeated again on the shank shoulders, and the third crossing over allows the strands to transition into the main setting at the top.

Purple sapphire accent stones fill the space between the two criss-crossing pieces of the band on each shank shoulder, bringing a beautiful infusion of color to the ring. They also add overtones of clarity, wisdom and good fortune, which are wonderful sentiments to include in a piece like this. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
