Engagement Ring Description

This elegant engagement ring features a round blue sapphire prong set atop a twisted white gold Euroshank. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to share his vision with our team. He already had an inspiration piece that he wanted to customize, and after seeing some CAD images and a wax model of the design we developed, he gave his approval to move into production. Solitaire Sapphire

The sapphire at the center of this ring is 1.99 carats and round, with the two prongs holding it curving up and around on the top and bottom relative to the band. The 14k white gold of the setting contrasts wonderfully with the rich blue of the stone, helping to enhance its beauty. The client’s inspiration piece had a diamond as the centerpiece, but the blue sapphire had personal meaning for him, and so he decided to go with that.

Although diamonds are often thought of first when it comes to engagement rings, sapphires have a long and storied history in this position as well. Band Design

The band of this ring is squared at the bottom to form a Euroshank design. This provides a nice counterbalance to the large stone at the top, helping to keep the ring from spinning on the finger when it’s worn. As it moves up from the soft corners on either side, the band narrows and then widen again, flattening out to transition into the lower portion of the main setting.
