This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond in a partial bezel setting at the top of a white gold band, accented by black antiqued custom hand engraving. Diamond Solitaire

A large, round brilliant cut diamond is the centerpiece of this design, and it’s also the only gemstone in the ring. That makes the piece a solitaire, which is a very traditional choice for an engagement ring.

The diamond is held in a partial bezel setting made of 18k white gold. The setting has three main portions that vaguely resemble flower petals, giving the center setting overall a vaguely organic quality. There is a small space between each of these petals, and that space allows extra light in to reach the stone, as well all giving the ring a more open feel. Diamond Engagement Rings

Hand Engraving and Black Antiquing

Each of the petal portions of the main setting is engraved with one or two Chinese characters, and these were specifically chosen by the client to represent special elements of their lives and relationship. In order to make the engraving stand out, we applied black antiquing, and this creates a delicate contrast with the brilliant white of the rest of the ring as well. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

Band Design and Customization Options

The band is rounded on top, and it maintains the same width most of the way around. Near the top, however, it widens slightly before transitioning into the round base that the center setting rests on. This round section is a bit wider than the entire center setting itself, and that gives the ring a nice balance as well.

If you’d like to customize this piece, you may want to begin by choosing different characters or other symbols to use for the custom hand engraving. You could also select a different shape diamond for the center, or you could choose a different type of gemstone all together. Using a pink diamond, for instance, would still maintain the traditional diamond solitaire style, but it could also serve to more fully-develop the organic themes.
