Engagement Ring Description

This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond, surrounded by an offset squared halo, and accented with diamonds, filigree, and custom hand engraving on the band. It was created for a client from East Wenatchee, WA, who worked with our staff in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to make sure we exactly captured the look they were after. Center Diamond and Halo

The diamond at the center of this ring is 0.65 carats and round brilliant cut. It’s prong set in 18k white gold, and the squared halo surrounding it is offset and stylized to provide multiple juxtapositions of shapes and angles.

All four sides sections of the halo are triangular, with round bright cut set diamonds tapering in size within them. This gives the center setting a dynamic feel, and it introduces all kinds of interesting contrasts despite the fact that all of the gemstones involved are round diamonds. Halo Engagement Rings

Split Shank and Accent Diamonds

The lines and angles of the halo tie in nicely with the design of the split shank, which begins as one piece at the bottom. This gradually widens until it reaches the half-way point, where it divides into two pieces that maintain a consistent width while following the same curvature as the lower section. Rows of round bright cut set diamonds also start at the point where the band splits, and these continue on to the top of the shank shoulders.

The space that opens between these two strands becomes a slightly curved triangle, which ties in nicely with the similar shapes in the halo above. The shank shoulders themselves run right into the sides of the hall, joining it at an angle that’s complementary to both the center setting and band design. Diamond Engagement Rings

Hand Engraving and Filigree

The lower solid portion of the shank and the fronts almost all the way around are covered with a lovely scroll pattern of hand engraving. This is included on the fronts of the halo as well, and it ties in nicely with the elegant hand-made filigree that fills the space below the center setting and the shoulders of the shank to complete the piece.
