Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond in the center of a squared halo of bright cut set diamonds, with additional bright cut and bezel set diamond accents on the platinum split shank. It’s a stunning piece that incorporates elements of both a three-stone design and the halo style to create a truly dramatic new look, and it offers many opportunities for customization. Center Setting and Halo

At the center of this ring is a one carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s prong set in platinum, and the halo of bright cut set diamonds surrounding it is slightly squared, with corners aligned with the prongs of the center setting. The sides of the halo bow out gently, giving a nod to the perfectly round stone at its center while simultaneously aiding the transition to the more angular elements below.

Diamond and Milgrain Accents

On either side of the halo, a trillion diamond sits in chevron prongs that position with one flat edge against the side of the halo and one corner pointing straight down the band. The point of this diamond meets the exact spot where the two strands of the split shank come together, and the way the strands move apart from there mirrors the tapering of the trillion diamond as well. Both of these strands are lined with bright cut set diamond accents on both the top and fronts, and each front also holds a larger diamond bezel set about a quarter of the way down from the main setting. Another bezel set diamond sits directly below the center stone on each ring front, and all of the bright cut set accents are framed by a delicate milgrain beading that brings a distinctive vintage flair to the design. The diamonds and milgrain both stop at about the three-quarter point on the band, and below this, the two strands combine to form a solid piece across the bottom of the ring. Although this piece contains many diverse elements that were each quite important to the client, our designers were able to balance them perfectly to create a truly stunning finished piece.
