Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features a heart shaped orange sapphire in the center of a three-stone setting, with pear shaped side diamonds and custom hand engraving on the platinum band. It was created for a client from Philadelphia, PA, who reached out to us online with some ideas about the type of ring he wanted us to make. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

After reviewing various options with our team, he settled on the type of center and side stones he wanted, as well as the configuration of the center. He also added some custom hand engraving, and he quickly approved our CAD models so we could move his piece into production.

Center Sapphire

The main gemstone in this ring is a one carat heart shaped orange sapphire, and it’s held in a specialized five prong platinum setting. Two of the prongs hold the rounded tops of the sapphire, while two meet it along the straight sides, and one cradles the bottom point. This positioning both ensures a secure hold, and also accentuates the perfect shape of the stone. Sapphire Engagement Rings

Diamond Accents and Engraving

On either side of the center, a pear shaped diamond is also prong set, and these are positioned with their rounded end tucked up against the side of the larger stone. We initially suggested using white sapphires to complete the three-stone setting, but the client preferred to stick with diamonds even though it took him a bit above his desired budget range. The pear shape of these side stones works well with the heart shape of the center, complementing it without mirroring it completely. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

A lovely calla lily design is hand-engraved running down both sides of the shank. The client asked that we leave some space between the side diamonds and the start of the engraving, and that placement complements the elegant lines of the engraving nicely.
