Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a Euro cut round diamond prong set in the center of a three-stone setting, with smaller round diamonds in the side positions, all of which is accented with elegant filigree, hand engraving, and milgrain beading. It was created for a client from Redmond, WA, who initially visited our Bellevue, WA showroom to get the custom design process underway. He had a clear idea of the kind of ring he wanted for his fiancee-to-be, and he provided all three diamonds as well for an extra personal touch. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Three-stone Setting

The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.31 carat round Euro cut diamond that the client provided. It’s held in a four prong setting that positions it just above the level of the top of the filigree band. The two diamonds on either side are also round and prong set, and they total 0.30 carats combined. They sit slightly lower and angled a bit outward away from the main stone in order to continue along the curve of the ring itself.

The way all three diamonds are nestled down close to the filigree helps keep the profile of the ring low, protecting them from damage, and it also allows the stones to integrate more fully with the organic band design. Three Stone Engagement Rings

Filigree Band Design

The top of the band from the edge of the center setting to the mid-point on each side is filled with elegant hand-made filigree in an organic pattern that depicts vines and leaves curling around each other. Filigree also fills the spaces below the shank shoulders on each ring front, but here the design integrates a treble clef, which was a detail that was especially significant to the client. Hand Engraving and Milgrain

Below the filigree, both the top and fronts of the band are covered with organic-style hand engraving down nearly to the bottom. This is lined with milgrain beading, which continues up to frame the filigree sections as well. The combination of these features gives the ring a decidedly vintage flair, and it enabled the client to include many personally-significant details to help make his ring that much more special.
