Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a marquise cut fancy yellow diamond tension set in palladium with diamond, milgrain, and custom hand-engraved accents on the split shank below. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, and we later made a wedding band as well to complete the set.

Center Diamond

At the center of this ring is a 0.83 carat marquise shaped diamond with a rich yellow color. The client requested this type of stone, as his inspiration piece had an aquamarine in the main position. This was the most significant adjustment he made from the original, and the matching wedding band has yellow diamonds as well to echo the beautiful tones of the engagement ring’s center. Diamond and Milgrain Accents

The thicker strands of the split shank curve out to meet the diamond at its points, with one piece coming in from each side. The twist this creates complements the marquise shape nicely, and it brings a dynamic movement to the design. These strands are also lined with round bright cut set diamonds down to the mid-point on the band, adding a lovely sparkle and elegant contrast to enhance the brilliant yellow stone in the center.

Milgrain beading lines these accent diamonds, and it continues down to frame the hand-engraved sections on the lower portion of the band as well. The milgrain brings an hint of vintage flair to the design, and its inclusion on the matching wedding band works with other design elements to thoroughly unite the set. Matching Wedding Sets

Custom Hand Engraving and Filigree

An organic scroll-style pattern of custom hand engraving covers the lower portion of the shank,with a complementary wheat pattern lining the ring fronts all the way up to the center setting. This is a detail that our expert artisans completed by hand as the final step in the production process, allowing us to customize it a great deal to reflect something of personal significance. Elegant lines of filigree also fill the spaces between the two strands of the split shank as they move away from each other close to the top, and they pass in and out of the bezel setting of the single round side diamond on each shank shoulder, helping to tie all elements of the piece together.
