Engagement Ring Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond flanked on either side by pear shaped blue sapphires, all set in a wrapped white gold shank. It was designed for a client from Provo, UT, who found our ring #100056 and wanted to make a few small adjustments so it would better match his ideal. We worked with him exclusively online to produce a piece he was completely satisfied with and that his fiancee loves.

Center Diamond

In a nod towards tradition, this ring includes a round diamond in the center. It’s a lovely round brilliant cut stone that’s tension set between the two ends of the wrapped criss-cross shank. Diamonds are a great choice in this role due to their stunning sparkle as well as their association with love, devotion, and unparalleled beauty. Diamond Engagement Rings

Helping to intensify the sparkle of the center stone are rows of accent diamonds that run along the wrapped ends of the shoulders of the shank as they reach up to form the main setting. These are bright cut set and lined with milgrain, which helps give the piece a nice vintage feel.

Sapphire Accents

Pear shaped blue sapphires are prong set on either side of the center diamond, adding a bit of color to the ring and contrasting nicely with the sparkling white of the diamonds. They are set with the narrow end pointing away from the center, which allows them to perfectly fill the space between the two ends of the criss-cross shank. The pear shape was something our client specifically requested, and it worked very well in this ring.

Unique Band

While the stunning gemstones at the top of the ring are likely what you’ll notice first, the unique and ornate band design really helps to set the piece apart. The shank itself is made of 14k white gold, and the way it splits and then crosses back over itself allows it to flow smoothly up into the twisted center setting.
