This striking engagement ring features a princess cut diamond in a Chevron prong setting atop a criss-cross platinum band, accented by round bright cut set diamonds. Center Diamond

At the top of this ring, a one carat princess cut diamond is held in place by four platinum Chevron prongs that cover its corners smoothly. These types of prongs both protect the corners of the stone from damage and accentuate the clean lines of the cut, while also framing the diamond beautifully. Diamond Engagement Rings

Band Design and Diamond Accents

In stark contrast to the straight lines and sharp angles of the center setting, the band design is flowing and elegant. It features a solid piece across the bottom, although with subtle lines that indicate the blending of two strands, and a brief intake about a quarter of the way up each side. Just above this, the two separate strands emerge on their own, sweeping out just farther than the length of the center diamond before crossing back over each other again on their way to join the main setting. This dramatic movement is coupled with the introduction of bright cut set diamond accents lining each strand all the way up to the center setting. In fact, these strands actually transition into the prongs holding the center diamond when they reach the top, and they’re united across the fronts of the ring by smaller, criss-crossing strands that break off from their underside, mirroring the elegant movement found elsewhere in the piece.
