Engagement Ring Description

This exquisite engagement ring features a marquise shaped diamond in a bezel setting, accented with diamonds, filigree, and custom hand engraving. It was created for a couple from Oakland, CA for whom we also designed men’s wedding band, and we worked with them online, over the phone, and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to make sure all details of their rings were exactly right.

Center Diamond

The 0.52 carat diamond at the center of this ring is marquise shaped and bezel set in 18k yellow gold. The setting arises naturally from the ends of the split shank as it reaches up to wrap around the diamond, and this provides the perfect complement to the stone’s graceful shape. The brilliant white of the diamond also contrasts nicely with the warmer tones of the yellow gold, helping to intensify the beauty of both. Diamond Engagement Rings

Diamond Accents

Bright cut set diamonds run down two of the wrapped ends of the setting, beginning at the points of the larger diamond and continuing down the shank shoulders until just below the mid-point on the band. This is where the divergent strands of the split shank come together as well, helping to bring a satisfying balance to the design.

Filigree and Hand Engraving

The areas of the shank not covered by the accent diamonds instead feature custom hand engraving in a scroll pattern that complements the flowing lines of the piece nicely. This continues down past where the diamonds stop, ending near the very bottom of the ring.

In between the two sections of the split shank, a wonderful curving hand-made filigree mirrors the major elements of the engraved pattern, working to emphasize the organic themes of the piece.
