Engagement Ring Description

This elegant engagement ring features a pear shaped diamond prong set in a yellow gold band with bright cut set diamond accents. The design was developed in collaboration with a client from Tulsa, OK, who found several rings on our site that he liked, and who worked with our team to incorporate features from each into a dream piece for his fiancée.

Because he lives out of state, we communicated with him completely online to share ideas and designs. We went through several rounds of revisions before he decided that the piece was perfect and ready to go into production. Although he never visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, the online system we have for managing custom orders ensured that he received a finished piece he was completely satisfied with. Center Diamond

Our client wanted to use a pear shaped diamond for his fiancée's ring. It’s 0.85 carats, and its wonderful sparkle is accentuated by the contrast with the warm yellow gold of the setting and band. The four prong setting holding it covers as little of the stone as possible and is open on all sides, which also helps it really shine through from every angle.

Band Design

The shank splits as it nears the top, and the two pieces move outward to form two of the prongs of the main setting. The other two prongs arise from curved sections that come off of the main split shank pieces and join each other on the sides of the stone. These act almost like bridges between the two sides of the split shank, and they add a wonderful intricacy to the design.

Bright cut set melee diamonds line nearly the entire shank, and they’re also bordered with milgrain beading to help give the piece a bit of vintage flair. The diamonds add wonderful sparkle as well, and they really stand out thanks to the contrast with the 18k yellow gold band.
