Six-Prong Setting

At the top of this ring, a one-carat round brilliant cut diamond is held in place by six prongs made from 18k white gold. Two of the prongs meet the diamond at its north and south points, while the other four sit in pairs evenly distributed on either side of the band. This gives the center setting a somewhat floral feel, and it adds a subtle contrast to the perfectly round shape of the center stone. Diamond Engagement Rings
