Engagement Ring Description

This exquisite engagement ring features a center blue sapphire surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds, all set in platinum and accented with custom engraving. It originated as a custom order for a client from Laguna Niguel, CA, who collaborated online with our design team to create exactly the ring he was envisioning for his fiancée.

Blue Sapphire Solitaire

Sapphires are the symbol of love, loyalty, sincerity, and reliability. They’re a popular alternative to diamonds in engagement rings, and the use of one in a diamond halo design creates a truly eye-catching design.

This particular sapphire exhibits a lovely lighter blue color, which is what the client preferred, and it’s displayed beautifully in an double prong setting. However, sapphires also come in many other shades of blue, and even completely different colors, which is something to keep in mind if you wanted to customize this design.

Diamond Halo

The halo of diamonds surrounding the center stone is slightly squared, and the diamonds themselves are bright cut set. They’re lined with a delicate milgrain beading that continues down onto the tapered shank, and that really helps to tie all of the diverse design elements in this ring together.

The sides of the halo and the shank are all covered with a beautiful custom engraving, which works to reinforce the vintage style of the piece.
