Center Diamond and Halo

In the center of this ring, a one carat round brilliant cut diamond is prong set in 14k white gold. It’s surrounded by a swirling halo of bright cut set diamonds that forms out of two strands of the split braided shank below. The two strands forming the halo originate on opposite sides of the center setting, and they curl around each other creating almost a floral effect.

The strands from the split shank that don’t transition into the halo cross below the center setting to meet their counterparts on the other side. This fluid movement is a smooth continuation of the detail on the shank shoulders, and it gives the piece as a whole a satisfying balance. Diamond Engagement Rings

Band Design and Diamond Accents

The band itself is straight and relatively narrow across the bottom, but it splits into two strands at about the three-quarter point. These strands criss cross back and forth across each other as they move up the sides, and they’re joined by a loop that comes down from the top and twists in between, creating an intricate braided structure. All four of the strands that make up this portion of the band are lined with bright cut set diamond accents, and this adds wonderful sparkle as well as a truly glamorous flair to the design. The diamond accents are the same size and are set in the same way as those in the halo around the center stone, a detail which facilitates a seamless transition from the main setting to the band below.
