Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features an emerald cut blue sapphire, flanked on either side by bullet-shaped diamonds, and accented with diamonds and milgrain. It was designed for a client from Seattle, WA, to go with wedding band #102300, and together they make a truly stunning set. We worked with our client in our Bellevue, WA showroom to finalize the details of the design and ensure that the piece we were creating for her was exactly what she wanted in every way.

Three-stone Setting

The stone that sits atop this ring is a 2.36 carat emerald cut sapphire with a rich, deep blue color. It contrasts beautifully with the brilliant white of the platinum that makes up the band, and its angular shape is complemented well by the four straight prongs holding it in place.

The shape of the diamonds on either side of the center stone also keeps with the angular theme. The bottom edge where they’re closest to the sapphire is flat, and their far ends are pointed, which creates a nice transition from the wide and squared top of the piece to the narrower parts of the band.

Diamond and Milgrain Accents

Bright cut set diamonds line the bullet shaped diamonds, and there are also several larger bright cut set accent diamonds further down the band. The first of these is set in its own rounded section, and three more line up below it.

Two princess cut diamonds are set on the fronts of the ring, with one on each side, and these provide a nice hidden sparkle where you least expect it. These and all of the other diamonds in the piece are also lined with milgrain, which helps accentuate the ring’s vintage flair.

The companion wedding band follows the contours of this ring exactly, and it also includes bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain. This type of shared feature can really work to unite a set, and having both of your rings made at the same time ensures that they’ll match up perfectly when worn together.
