Engagement Ring Description

The emerald cut is a sophisticated choice for a diamond ring. This elegant rectangular shape is captivating.

In this piece, we placed a large, emerald cut diamond at the head of the ring in a solid, four-prong claw setting. The setting allows the broad faces of the gem to catch as much light from the sides as possible, and the fancy openings underneath the setting allow it to capture light from below as well. At the same time, the main diamond is surrounded by a halo of small diamonds. These melee gems serve to make the main gem appear all the more brilliant.

This design, co-created with one of our clients, remains one of our more popular designs. It serves as an inspiration for many new custom ring jobs. Some clients will use a similar shank with a square cut center stone instead of the emerald cut, others will add floral filigree designs, and some will go for adding color!
